Our wool insulation is made from 100% natural and renewable raw materials, virgin wool and corn-based PLA. Not only are the jackets light, durable, and easy to care for, but they also feel luxurious and are thermo-responsive – our jackets breathe with you, keeping you at just the right temperature when you need it.

Our wool is animal cruelty free, unlike much of the down industry. Our sheep graze in the idyllic surroundings of the Austrian and Swiss Alps or they are kept in natural conditions on vast pastures in Norway and Sweden. Our sheep always have access to a pure and diversified nature, clean water and sprouting grass. The farmers in our supply chain adhere to strict animal welfare standards and the wool is completely mulesing-free.

We are conscious of the impact the fashion industry has on the planet and our finite natural resources. We care deeply about maintaining the most sustainable business ethics with the least negative environmental impact. For the shell of the jackets to encase the wool, we use recycled nylon fabrics that are Blue Sign approved. We contribute 10% of all profits to environmental NGOs in South Africa.

We see our business as a ‘lifecycle of care’. We collaborate with a dedicated team of seamstresses in Cape Town, who negotiate their own rates, and work at their own pace, sewing one garment at a time with care.
